Do you ever just have a day where you have minimal energy for the things you know you’re supposed to do but don’t want to do? *me every day* Cooking on any long days just feels like a chore. Here is one of my favorite, go to, easy crockpot recipes. Honestly, when I make this I feel like a rockstar because it’s so delicious I can pretend I worked really hard making it.
We buy 1/4 of a cow every year so we have a bunch of roasts in our freezer. We used a chuck roast this time but an arm roast has worked well too.
Add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the crockpot, put the roast in, and sprinkle 1 packet of Italian dressing mix on top. Cook on high for around 5-6 hours or low for 10-12.

You want it to be falling apart when it’s done. We trim the meat and shred it and put it back in the crockpot before serving. Easy, right? And so delicious.

We normally serve this on toasted French rolls with a little mozzarella and garlic salt. We haven’t been to the store in awhile so we used what we had – English muffins. Still good!
Let me know if you try this one out! Hope you do!
Making it up as we go,
Monica
